Donegal Sports Star Chairperson Neil Martin is now asking all sporting organizations in the county to submit their nominations for the 40th Awards celebrations. “I would just like to remind all sporting organizations in the county that the deadline for nominations is Friday week the 27th of November. So it’s important that the sporting achievers of 2015 get the recognition they deserve by having their names nominated on this historic year for the Donegal Sports Star Awards” Mr Martin said.
Please note that only successes in 2015 are eligible for consideration when deciding on winners in the various categories. The only exception to this rule is the primary and second schools sections. Here it is sporting achievements during the academic year 2014/2015 which will be judged and it only successes while representing the school that will be eligible in the primary and secondary categories. Nominations are not being taken for the Hall of Fame as the committee will be selecting the winner here for the Donegal County Council sponsored function.
A brief summary only of the relevant sporting achievements will suffice. Pictorial and DVD footage is also required. Nominations can be done online from the nominations page and emailed to [email protected] or by completing a simple nomination form, which can be downloaded and posted to Paul McDaid, Post Office, Ramelton. Those not using on-line can simply post their nominations to Paul McDaid, Post Office, Ramelton.
The deadline for nominations for the Donegal County Council sponsored awards is Friday, November 27th.
